Lucilla is a painter and a maker of wooden constructions. Influenced by poetry and the patterns of weather, geology and archaeology in the Scottish landscape she often paints and draws outdoors. Her assemblages are made in the studio. She has sailed to many of the remote islands including St. Kilda and walked several of the long distance routes in Scotland. She works intuitively looking to express the power and impact of the landscape in her paintings. She is a professional member of the Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland.
She was Artist in Residence at StAnza 2012 and 2013 Scotland's International Poetry Festival.
Lucilla has been a council member on Visual Arts Scotland which is a leading artistic body in Scotland.
